smashill – building creative capital

about

It’s been a long and dry journey to earn a living online, but after loads of fruitless attempts at the usual suspects, it’s time to document things that are making money. In case you are out there looking for ventures to pursue, you find plenty of make money blogs, most of those are pretty boring, and well, useless to be honest. Especially for creatives like me. They offer you some ideas, mainly niche sites, affiliate marketing or similar activities, but after all they are there to sell you something, so those guys can make money with their stuff. Or they simply give you advice on how to bore yourself into damnation, which is even worse.

Smashill stands for own thoughts and ideas on how I make money, or rather, on how to sell creative ideas and make money with them. There are plenty of ways to earn a living online, and a lot of those are very boring, accountant like jobs. You create something without a soul and try to sell some bullshit products to some desperate people surfing the net. Don’t be one of those robots who just want to make money, no matter the consequences. There are many ways to earn money online or offline, you don’t have to do something that is a worse pick than your day-job.

Smashill builds Creative Capital.

Here at smashill I will dispatch loads of the money making myths and tell you which things didn’t earn me a fortune, which are boring and which are simply a rip-off. On the other hand I will name things that make money and share my own projects. There is only one thing: you have to start creating stuff yourself. You just have to start!
Me, I am an artist, but somehow you have to pay the bills along the way, so I consider myself a designer, marketer, writer and whatever else I need to be, I am fortunate enough to be interested in a lot of things.

I think a lot of creative people would be better off if they strive to be someone like Leonardo da Vinci, who was an all around ace, not just a freaking painter, clerk, or whatever you call your job.

Leonardo was a Part-time engineer, painter, philosopher, and many more things… to make it short: a genius, but not only in one discipline, he had plenty of interests!

That’s my mission! Doing what fulfills, pursue what is fun and try to discover or develop new and innovative things. It takes more time to do something like this instead of launching a few affiliate campaigns, but well… reading or watching “Death of a Salesman” should be enough to keep you away from that. That’s the new world, do what you want and make a living with it.
